PUPPY TRAINING CLASS

This is an 8 week course where puppies learn to interact with other puppies, adults and children in the appropriate manner.

Basic obedience training using positive reinforcement methods.

Puppies will be accepted one week after their first vaccination, however if your puppy has not completed his full course we will not accept liability for them.

The course incorporates the Kennel Club Puppy Good Citizen Scheme, and we ask owners to bring to class a toy and your dogs grooming kit.

COURSE 1
Beginners Obedience

Basic pet obedience for dogs of any age.

This 8 week course aims to promote responsible dog ownership, helping you to train your dog to be a well behaved member of the community and to be an enjoyable family pet.

All breeds and ages of dog are welcome as long as the dog is fully vaccinated.

Our classes are designed to give you an insight into dog behaviour and training, and will teach you how to control your dog. This includes sit, down, stand, wait, walk on a loose lead, come back when called, don’t jump up and other social activities.

There will be an opportunity to progress further should you wish to, either for
competition or just for fun.

COURSE 2
Having completed either course 1 or the Puppy course, all dogs are eligible to go on to course 2, the aim is to tighten up the exercises already learned, and to learn the exercises necessary to pass the Bronze Good Citizen test.
